Application Notes:

Spark 50: This is highly portable type Bipolar Coagulator suitable for precise cauterization works in Neuro Surgery, ENT Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Gynaecological procedures. The output power is full 100 watts (most Indian diathermy units have only 50 watts output) giving smooth coagulation. The unit function is controlled through a single pedal foot switch and the power is variable in a stepless pattern.

Spark 125: This surgical diathermy is ideal for small clinics where minor surgical procedures are carried out. The bipolar coagulation is of excellent quality with relatively charring free coagulation and the power availability is 100 watts. ENT and Paediatric surgeries can be very comfortably carried out with this equipment as also dermatological procedures. The mono cut function produces a smooth gliding cutting effect and the mono coag produces strong but relatively charring free coagulation effect.

Spark 200 B: This unit has both monopolar and bipolar output and this can be used for all routine general surgical works as well as for Bipolar applications in Gynae, ENT, Ortho etc. This is the small version of Spark 400B. The inbuilt voltage stabilizer ensures steady output power in all the modes for line voltages from 170 to 250 volts. This unit is ideal for small hospitals and individual doctors since it has all the functions needed for routine surgical works. Another interesting aspect is that it has got a very powerful bipolar output capable of delivering full 100 watts HF power (most Indian diathermy units have only 50 watts output). The quality of bipolar coagulation is also good. Also combination use of monopolar cut with bipolar coagulation side by side is possible. For monopolar, pin point coagulation is possible. Monopolar cutting is very smooth like a scalpel sharp cut. All the accessories are autoclavable. We have used imported German silicone rubber cable and high grade nylon connectors for the accessories ensuring long life.

Spark 225: This is a digital power display based version of the model Spark 200B described earlier in this application note. Precise adjustment of cutting and coagulation power is possible with the digital controls. The bipolar has 100 watts power output and finds extensive use in Gynaec surgeries as well as Neuro surgeries. This model has a handswitch pencil in addition to the standard footswitch controlled handle. More over for better patient safety the unit comes with a silicone rubber patient plate.

Spark 400B Deluxe: This is a fast moving model. It has a number of positive features over our other models. This can be used for delicate applications in Neurosurgery, Paediatric surgery and can do underwater cutting including TURP. This unit has in addition to the foot switch an imported handswitch pencil. Also it has silicone rubber patient plate which prevents HF burns. There is RAPID CUT/COAG provision in this unit which saves loop life in TURP. Also the components used are mostly imported ones. The inbuilt voltage stabilizer ensures steady output power in all the modes for fluctuating line voltages from 170 volts to 250 volts. Another interesting aspect is that it has got a very powerful bipolar output capable of delivering full 100 watts HF power (most Indian diathermy units have only 50 watts output).
